CT (CBCT) with cone beam is a latest technology in imaging that allows viewing the scanned areas in three-dimensional plan. Using an X-ray cone beam the CBCT scanner needs a single rotation around the patient to take hundreds of pictures of the area of interest, which are then reconstructed using an imaging software in order to obtain 3D virtual model of the patient.

The entire procedure is very short, and exposure to radiation for an X-ray scan taken with CBCT is minimal.

To view the 3D model, doctors and specialists benefit from a software with which images can be manipulated to show different angles, can measure the depth, thickness, can select only certain tissues, may investigate thoroughly the quality (density) and the amount of bone, existing anatomical formations, pathological formations etc.
